Founded by a Sri Lankan air hostess and the daughter of a Netherlands-based diplomat, our journey is shaped by two worlds: global travel and a profound connection to home. Having seen many countries and cultures, we were continually drawn back to Sri Lanka – not only for its beauty, but for its warmth, simplicity, and soul.

While much of the world knows Sri Lanka for its popular destinations, we believed there was a richer story waiting to be told – one found in remote villages, misty hills, quiet lakes, and communities where art, history, and tradition still live gently alongside daily life.

With this vision, Tequila Holidays was created to promote Sri Lanka beyond the obvious, shining a light on lesser-known yet deeply meaningful locations such as Nikaweratiya, Kadugannawa, and Padukka. These places carry stories of ancient craftsmanship, village rituals, natural healing, and a slower, more mindful way of living – experiences that cannot be replicated in crowded tourist hubs.
